Terms
Donations
All donations are made to our 501(c)(3) fiscal sponsor and are restricted to the project you choose. Donations are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. No goods, services, or perks are provided in exchange for donations, and donations are not refundable except in cases of error or fraud, in which case they are returned to the original payment method.
If a project can't proceed
If a project is overfunded, withdrawn, or removed, the sponsor applies remaining restricted funds to a similar project at its discretion. We never hold balances for donors.
Project listings
Project teams are responsible for the accuracy of their listings and agree to the Open Gift Standard, including annual attestation with photos. Listings are reviewed before publication and may be declined, edited with the team, or removed for violations.
Accounts
Sign-in is by email link; you are responsible for access to your email. We may suspend accounts used to abuse the platform.
The platform
For the Playa provides the software and review process; it is not the recipient of donations and does not guarantee any project's completion. The service is provided as-is; to the maximum extent permitted by law we disclaim implied warranties and limit our liability to the amount you donated in the past twelve months.
