For the Playa

Ways to give.

Every gift is a tax-deductible contribution to a 501(c)(3) public charity and goes only to the project you choose.

  1. Card or bank transfer. Give any amount to any project. Every dollar goes only to the project you chose.
  2. Donor-advised fund. Recommend a grant to our 501(c)(3) partner for the "For the Playa" program, naming the project.
  3. Family foundation. Make a restricted grant to our partner for a specific project. Ask us for the grant packet.
  4. Stock. Transfer appreciated shares to our partner's brokerage account; we'll send instructions and apply the gift to the project you choose.
  5. IRA (age 70½+). Direct a qualified charitable distribution to our partner for a specific project. We'll generate the letter your custodian needs.
  6. Support For the Playa itself. An unrestricted gift keeps the lights on and the reviews fast.

Card or bank transfer

Pick a project and give on its page by card or bank transfer. Your receipt comes from our 501(c)(3) partner, and every payment out appears on the project's public ledger.

Donor-advised fund

Each project page shows the exact grant wording and the EIN. Tell us when you've recommended a grant and we'll match it to your project when it arrives.

Family foundation

The packet includes the determination letter, the project's approved budget, and reporting terms. Grants are restricted to the project you name.

Stock

Gifts of appreciated stock are generally deductible at fair market value. Email us and we'll send DTC transfer instructions naming your project.

IRA (age 70½+)

A QCD counts toward your required minimum distribution and is excluded from income. Tell us the project and we'll prepare the custodian letter.

Support For the Playa itself

Unrestricted gifts fund review, verification, and the platform. They're the only gifts here that don't go to a specific project — and they're what makes the rest work.
